Combine Past & Future
When my nephew graduated high school, I sent him a new
wallet with gift cards and food gift certificates
inside. To add a bit of humor and fill the wallet
up a bit more, I found an old baseball card of his from
when he played little league, and a laminated card from
Hallmark about "the Graduate". As he's
moving long distance to go to college, this was
something small that could go with him, and useful once
he got there. I looked up the restaurants and
stores in his new college towns to be certain I got gift
cards for those stores. Find wallets
& purses here
Thanks - Lucy
Give The Gift of Equity
Another financial idea would be to give the new
graduate shares of stock. Instead of a high tech stock
maybe give one that offers dividend reinvestment. This
can help them learn how to build wealth over time.

Useful
Gifts for the College Bound
When my nephew graduated from high school and was college bound
I bought a huge laundry basket and filled it with the small things he needed like:
laundry detergent, soap, batteries, a few school
supplies, a roll of
quarters, toiletries, a family photo, a calling card and a box of self
addressed envelopes with stamps already. You can add more as you please
and it sure was a great success the first month he was there!
Thanks - Monica J. - Texas
Protect Their Assets
Do they have renters insurance? Renters insurance is
often overlooked buy most young adults as an extra
expense, however all it takes is one burglary and it becomes a painful reality. So make a deal with them,
once they move into the own place you'll pick up the
cost of renters insurance for one year! Thanks - Diane -
