Consider The Classics-
One of the nicest shower gifts I received was a box full of
children's books- classics like Goodnight Moon and Harold and the Purple Crayon,
infant board books, preschool story books, etc...it is also now my
favorite shower gift to give- it gives parent and child a chance to
snuggle with a book and instills a love of reading at an early age.

Mom-to-Be Gift Bag
I purchase the mother-to-be a small travel bag and I put a gown and robe set,
socks/slippers, a hairbrush, dental floss, hand lotion, travel size
toothpaste and a disposable camera with a flash. These are some of the
things that she might need while at the hospital, plus all she needs to
add are a few other essentials that she wants to take.

Mommy Shower
One of my good friends wanted to give me a baby shower, but she new I was going
to have several so instead she had me a mommy shower. Everyone bought me gifts that I would need to start
being a mom. i.e- Maternity clothes, Things My husband & I would need
at the hospital like Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, A brush, and
everything else that a new mom could use. I had never heard of a shower
like this before but it was really neat.

Diaper Cake
I made a 3 tier cake from disposable diapers added some baby socks
shaped like roses added other gifts on top and decorated with ribbon to go along with the shower theme. It was a great
centerpiece and something the mother could use afterwards.
