Halloween Movie Master
How well do your guest know Halloween movies? Well Shannon create this game for her Halloween party. Set up different "homages" (create scenes) to scary movies and have guests try to guess (as singles or in pairs) what they were.
Examples: One of my tombstones in the graveyard read "GAGE" - the kid from Pet Semetary,
A Cianti bottle sitting next to a plate with a piece of liver and beans on it, - Silence of the Lambs
I had a guest register set up by the door for people to sign in with the name Marion Crane at the top - she's the woman from PSYCHO. If possible have 15 -20 movies represented and have the people who score the most movies - win a small prize or a gift certificate to Blockbuster.
Thanks - Shannon

Halloween - What am I?
For children, pin or tape Halloween-themed pictures on each guest's back without the guest seeing what is on his or her own back.  Everyone gives subtle hints to each other and all have to guess who they are (the picture on their back) from the hints.  This can be fun for adults, too.
Thanks Alixandra O

Halloween Clue

This would be better for adults but you could invite people to play a real game of clue. The people who live in the house can set it up and the people that you invited can try and guess who the killer is. The people in the house could fake their deaths until someone figures out who the real killer is. Try these games Murder on the Grill , A Taste for Wine and Murder, Pasta, Passion & Pistols
Thanks - Shana - Richmond, VA

Adult - Costume Scavenger Hunt
Create two or three teams depending on how many participate in the costume scavenger hunt. Each team will a video camera to record the scavenger hunt and they get 2 hours (can be adjusted) to complete various tasks and get select items.
Here are some task ideas:
Go to a video rental store and find out what year the the movie Halloween was made.
Go to a grave yard and find a specific name on a tomb stone.
Take a video with a Taxi or bus driver.
Find a cop in a donut shop and get a video with him.
Go to a grocery store find out how much a specific item costs.
Go to a home of someone that know one knows and ask for a can of blood red soup (Tomato soup). Go to a bar find out how many brands of beer they serve.
Find a stranger who will let you wrap them up in toilet paper like a mummy extra points if they along with the team sings the Monster Mash on video. And so on...

When the teams get back we have the most fun watching the videos, especially the people who came to the party that didn't go out on the Scavenger hunt!
Thanks - Brian - Cleveland

Build A Scarecrow Game
Divide your back yard into two sections by yellow tape (maybe 2 rooms or a basement if inside). Before your party, get together 2 sets of 6-10 items that can be used to build a scarecrow. Sample items: Hat, corn stalks, jeans, string... Now hide these items in order to make a scarecrow around each half (one side for each team). For small children you may want to play this game during the day and to make the game harder play it at night. When playing at night send out team member with a pumpkin with a pumpkin light or a candle inside), have one person from each team (starting at same time) go on a hunt to find one item. After all items are found, the team has to be creative and construct a scarecrow, using all items. The team that finishes their scarecrow first, wins.
Thanks Lisa
